The forgotten art of producing mead was revived in 1959 by A. Sinkevicius (19085-1989),the former director of the company “Lietuviskas Midus”, in Stakliskes.
All mead drinks are made of natural bee honey and berry juice.
Their unique flavour comes from refined infusion of carnation blossom, poplar buds, acorn, juniper berrieslaced with many othervaluable herbs.
Šventinė (Festive) mead nectar – is a bright red fragrant beverage (30% alcohol content), the production of which was started in 1968, and which is based on A. Sinkevičius’ recipe. Blueberry, cranberry, and cherry juices make the beverage taste piquant. Šventinė mead nectar is an excellent choice for holiday feasts. It goes well with sweet dishes and deserts.
